I just finished by Round Lab SPF today and I had to open a new one. Out of all the sunscreens in my skincare stash, I picked the La Roche-Posay Anthelios SPF 60. Although I had this sunscreen for a while, I never really thought to pick it up because I just have so much love to Asian sunscreens. I have been on the hunt for something that is more easily accessible though, so it was definitely time to give this one a try.
Round Lab Birch Juice Moisturizing Sunscreen SPF 50+
I’ve talked about the Round Lab sunscreen so much since I’ve first opened it. It was definitely love at first application. It was love until the very very last drop. I would say that this is my Holy Grail sunscreen.
I haven’t tried any other sunscreen that applies as seamlessly as this. No white cast. Feels super moisturizing without being overly moisturizing (IYKYK).
The ingredients list includes Hyaluronic Acid and Birch Sap.
I would choose this sunscreen over the viral Beauty of Joseon sunscreen any day of the week, and let me tell you, I love that sunscreen as well.
Available for $25 at Amazon and Stylevana.
La Roche-Posay Anthelios Light Fluid Face Sunscreen SPF 60
When I ran out of my Holy Grail sunscreen, I decided that I had to pick a sunscreen that was readily accessible to review instead of just focusing on my Asian sunscreens. As much as I love my Asian sunscreens, I like reviewing a variety of products.
When I received this sunscreen in PR, I was excited because I saw some people post about it. Not excited enough to open it straightaway, but still excited to have it in my stash.
What ultimately convinced me to try this after finishing my Round Lab sunscreen was that I enjoyed the La Roche-Posay Cicaplast hand cream so much. My hands have been dry lately and it was really helpful.
I figured since that product worked so well might as well try the Anthelios sunscreen out. My first impression was that it was a milky consistency that I did not expect but I highly appreciate. It was so easy to blend into the skin, which I LOVE of course. I’m always impressed by that because most of the sunscreens that are readily available at the drugstore aren’t the best application wise.
In terms of having a white cast, this didn’t leave me with a white cast at all. I was pretty impressed to be honest. My face didn’t feel dry or oily.
Something to note though is that one of my Instagram followers told me that it stings her eyes a bit. I didn’t really experience it at first until she told me, so I can’t really say that it’s the sunscreen. I could just be thinking of it because she experienced it and I have extremely sensitive eyes.
I will update if it does cause some sort of irritation in the future though. As of right now, it’s been great.
Available for $30 at Amazon.
Comparison
At the moment, I would still pick my Holy Grail Round Lab Sunscreen. It’s now easily accessible at Amazon, which makes life so much easier. If convenience wasn’t a factor, I still would choose Round Lab. I do think that it’s a great formula that everyone needs to try at least once in their life.
Individuals who hate sunscreen should really try either Round Lab or Beauty of Joseon. I think those are both great options that would make them want to put their sunscreen more often and that decreases their risk for cancer and helps with looking more youthful.
If you want to try the La Roche-Posay Anthelios SPF, I do recommend it based on my first impressions. It blends it way better than most of the sunscreens available in the market.
