Farmacy Beauty just launched their 10% Waterless Vitamin C Serum recently. I’ve been using this product for approximately a month now so I wanted to write about my first impressions. I’ve enjoyed some of Farmacy Beauty’s products including the Honey Halo Moisturizer and the Filling Good Serum.
The benefits of including a Vitamin C serum in your skincare routine
Vitamin C is a multipurpose antioxidant that can help with several skin concerns. It can help with brightening the skin. It can help with firming the skin. It can help with hyperpigmentation and evening skin tone. It reduce the appearance of under eye circles.
I’ve tried several Vitamin C serums so far. I’ve tried the Beautycounter Counter+ All Bright C Serum, Lumene Nordic C Glow Boost Essence, and the Drunk Elephant C-Firma Fresh Day Serum.
Farmacy Beauty 10% Waterless Vitamin C Serum
-Uses 10% L-Ascorbic Acid in order to provide maximum stability while decreasing irritation
-1% Alpha Arbutin + Ferulic Acid
-Upcycled Tangerine Peel
-Upcycled Sugar Beet (Betaine)
-It was clinically tested. The results showed improvement in the size and intensity of dark spots and in the general skin tone evenness.
-Another unique aspect of this product is that it is fully recyclable, which is great for sustainability purposes.
My experience
I’ve been enjoying this Vitamin C Serum. It’s not sticky. The application is fantastic. I think that it does make my skin feel smoother after application.
In order to get noticeable results from Vitamin C serums, it does take at least 3 weeks. At the moment, I do have some bumps on my face. I’m not sure if it is a reaction to this specific product because I am also using a retinol in conjunction with my Vitamin C.
I wouldn’t really say that it is my favorite product from Farmacy Beauty.
My favorite product from that line continues to be the Honey Halo Moisturizer. I may actually stop using this product because I’m about to start using prescription tretinoin and I don’t want to irritate my skin too much.
What I do love about this product is the fact that I’m able to recycle the product as a whole. Farmacy has been trying to become a more sustainable brand, which I truly do appreciate. There is so much waste in the world and I can’t help but think about all the products that could be made sustainable.
Even though the product is in a pump, consumers are just able to recycle the whole product! I think that’s so convenient and helpful for the environment.
Speaking of pumps, I love that this product comes in a pump.
Since it is in a pump it is less likely to be contaminated. Products that are in a jar are likelier to be contaminated. You may get lazy one long night and just use your fingers or you just forget to use your scooper. You may have forgotten to disinfect your scooper. There are just a million ways that cross-contamination can happen.
The pump is just more convenient and sanitary.
