Cay Skin SPF Reviews: 2 new favorite sunscreens?

Cay Skin is a new skincare line launched by the one and only Winnie Harlow. Winnie Harlow is a Jamaican-Canadian model and activist, but I’m sure that you already knew that. I wanted to review some skincare products I received through Octoly.

When I first saw the products, I fell in love at first sight. The packaging is just all neutral perfection, which always holds such a dear place in my heart. Their products are available on their website and on Sephora.

Cay Skin Isle Glow Face Moisturizer with SPF 45 and Niacinamide

I wanted to start this review with my favorite product from this line. It is formulated for all skin types. It is advertised as a glowy sunscreen.

The formulation includes Sea Moss, Hydrating Nectar, and Niacinamide. The formulation is just perfect in my opinion.

I was a little nervous at first. It has a darker color, but blends in the skin flawlessly. It is just so easy to sink into the skin. It’s not heavy. It doesn’t get my skin oily even as an oily girl already.

If I had to pick one product from the line, I would definitely pick this one out. I have been using it so much that the words on the packaging are almost completely gone. If there’s one thing I would recommend for the brand, I would definitely try to keep the packaging label on.

Cay Skin Universal Mineral Face Moisturizer with SPF 55 and Squalane

I’ll start off and say that this is my second favorite product in this line. I wasn’t exactly sure about the texture and color at first, just like the Isle Glow Face Moisturizer but it blended out like a dream.

If there’s one thing I learned from discovering this brand it is definitely that you should never judge a sunscreen by its initial texture.

It just blends out like a dream, I don’t know what else to say!

If you prefer a higher SPF, I would choose this one, but really both products were a delight to discover.

Isle Lip Balm SPF 30

I love a good lip balm. I like this one so far. It is not overly sticky, but still pretty moisturizing. I like the fact that it has SPF 30.

I just love the packaging as well, but that’s definitely the standard for this whole brand.

This product is $14 for .35oz /10mL on the website and on Sephora.

Overall Thoughts

I really think that there is something to say about good packaging. If this is the first post you’ve read from me, first of all, hi, welcome! I’m a sucker for neutral and sleek packaging. Cay Skin just hits the mark.

I love the Glow Face Moisturizer. It feels so hydrating and lightweight on the skin. I definitely recommend that product overall.

I think that loving this brand before I even knew that it was Winnie Harlow’s brand is just a testament to how good their products are. I just love her confidence. I’m happy to see her winning and creating her own skincare brand. I really truly can’t wait to see what the new launches would look like.

I just love discovering a new brand that already has everything going for them.
