I was never really into lip plumpers until I tried the Lawless ‘Forget the Filler‘ lip plumping line. This lip product pretty much lives in my purse these days because not only are they plumping, but also not bad for daily use. I’ve tried other lip plumpers that unfortunately make my lips extremely dry after. Either that or they tingle too much.
Don’t get me wrong, I really don’t mind a little spicy lip product for once in a while use, but not so much something I want to go through on a daily basis.
LAWLESS FORGET THE FILLER
If you aren’t familiar with Lawless, it is a brand created by Annie Lawless. Lawless is essentially a clean beauty brand. I don’t personally seek out clean beauty brands, but I’ve been pretty impressed with Lawless overall. I love their mascara and brow products.
The Forget The Filler Lip Plumper Smoothing Gloss is available in two different finishes including a high shine finish and a shimmer finish. I didn’t even know they had shimmer options, I definitely need to pick some of those up.
The Lip Plumper claims to be plumping, moisturizing, and hydrating. I can agree with those claims. When it comes to plumping, it really does help with just making your lips juicy, decreasing focus on lip lines. The moisture lasts for such a long time, since the formula is a little thicker than some.
I would like to note that it can be a little sticky, to some, more so. I don’t think it’s sticky to the point of uncomfortable though. For me, I do notice it getting stuck on my teeth sometimes, but it’s pretty easily removed. It also doesn’t continue to do that for me, so it’s not a big deal in that regard.
One thing to note is that the applicator is one of those that hugs the lips in the right way. It looks like it cups it perfectly, which I think is super cute.
Currently, there are 15 different shades available. I currently have Lavender Sorbet, Violet Bloom, and Juicy Watermelon.
Available for $26 at Sephora and Lawless.
FORGET THE FILLER VS OTHERS IN MY COLLECTION
What I really appreciate about the Lawless Lip Plumper is that it’s able to plump and moisturize as a stand alone product. When I say that, I mean that the one downside that I find with other lip products is the potential for even dryer lips once the lip product is gone. Either that or the lip product can be unbearably spicy.
An example of a spicy lip plumper is the Keybo lip plumpers. I don’t mind the Keyboard lip plumpers. Sometimes, I think it’s fun to use spicier lip plumpers. If you haven’t tried a spicy lip plumper, it essentially feels like a little burning, like if you just had some spicy food and it’s stuck to your lips. There is a lingering spicy feel. While I don’t mind spicy lip plumpers like Keybo, I definitely couldn’t use it everyday.
Sometimes, when using spicy lip plumpers, I worry about transferring the product to my kids. I definitely don’t want that. On the other hand, I don’t really feel much with the Lawless Forget the Filler, but with the same types of results.
OVERALL
I’m pretty impressed with Forget the Filler and really the other Lawless products that I’ve tried. Other key products to try include the One and Done Volumizing Mascara and Hold Up Soft Creamy Brow Wax.
Let me know what other products you would want me to review. Here’s one of my favorite sunscreens that I definitely recommend: Roundlab. Also, let me know if you have tried the Forget the Filler lip plumper. If so, what are your thoughts?
