HausLabs released a mini version of their highly rated PhD Lip Oil. The mini PhD Lip oil is only $14 in comparison to the full-size version priced at $24. I really liked the formula of the HausLabs lip oil in general. I think that they are very moisturizing and last a significant amount of time.
Haus Labs
If you haven’t heard of Haus Labs yet, it’s actually a clean beauty brand by Lady Gaga. The brand is focused on creativity and technology while developing formulas that are “high-performance clean.” I haven’t personally tried a lot from the brand, but there are so many that I would love to.
HausLabs created a foundation that went viral when it was released. The Triclone Skin Tech Foundation is loved by so many, and their blushes look amazing from what I could tell.
When the brand first launched, I didn’t really hear much about them, but as they rebranded and launched at Sephora, they have really been making a name for themselves.
Haus Labs Mini PhD Lip Oil
I purchased the original version of the PhD Hybrid lip oil months ago. I’ve always thought that it was pretty hydrating. I had the shade tint, which is a sheer pink shade. It claims to be lightweight and non-sticky, and I can definitely agree with that.
The formula feels hydrating but not too heavy or thick. In comparison, Clarins lip oils are slightly thicker. The Clarins lip oils are definitely my favorite, but I still love different formulas like the Haus Labs lip oil.
Back to the Haus Labs Mini Phd Lip Oil. The mini lip oil is priced at $14 with 2.5ml of product. In comparison, the full-sized version is priced at $24 with 7ml of product. If you think about it, the full-sized version would be better for the price, but I totally get it if you would rather just try it with the mini. If anything, I think that it would be best to try out the formula in store and swatch it in order to make a decision. Either that or find somebody that already has the product in hand.
On the other hand, if you like mini products like me, the HausLabs Mini PhD lip oil would definitely satisfy your craving for more mini things.
Available for $14 or $24 at Sephora and HausLabs.
Haus Labs versus other popular lip glosses
My favorite lip oils currently are the Clarins lip oils. The Clarins lip oils have a thicker formula, which could potentially lead to stickiness. I haven’t experienced any stickiness though. The lip oil has a nice fatter applicator in comparison to the HausLabs. It’s definitely my go to formula. It is important to note that the Clarins lip oils don’t come in a mini size and is a little bit pricier for the full size version. The Clarins lip oil is $28 in comparison to the full-sized Haus Labs at $24.
Another popular lip oil to compare the Haus Labs mini PhD lip oil to is the Dior lip oil. The Dior lip oil definitely has a cult following, but she’s definitely much pricier than my Clarins or HausLabs lip oil. Comparatively speaking, the Dior lip oil is pricier at $40, but only has 6ml of product. I haven’t seen a mini of the lip oil, but I have seen a mini of their lip plumper, which is actually given as a sample if you purchase from Dior.
Comparatively speaking, the mini Dior maximizer is available for free with purchase at the Dior website and it’s almost the same amount of product as the HausLabs mini PhD lip oil.
OVERALL
If I had to pick between the regular size or the mini Phd lip oil, I think that I would just go with the normal sized version. I think you get more for the price that way, but if you love mini things like me I would definitely check out the smaller size.
What are your favorites from Sephora? I just wrote a blog about my favorite lip plumpers, have you seen it?
