I cannot help but write a round up post of the best sunscreens of 2022. I’ve tried several sunscreens this year some that I loved, some that I could really just go without. This was truly the best year for sunscreens for me personally, I don’t think you could go wrong with any of these tried and tested sunscreens. I don’t even know if I will discover better sunscreens in 2023 because these products are truly just that good.
1. Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun: Rice + Probiotics SPF50
By far my favorite sunscreen of 2022 is the one that has the most hype surrounding it. It definitely deserves every single praise that it gets.
The Beauty of Joseon sunscreen is more like a moisturizer, it feels like heaven applied. It makes me want to apply sunscreen, which used to be such a task since you have to consistently reapply it throughout the day. I want to reapply this sunscreen though just because it feels so good. If someone asked me what the best sunscreen of 2022 was, it would definitely be the Beauty of Joseon sunscreen.
I’ve purchased and repurchased this product so many times, I cannot be without this sunscreen. I just cannot live without it. It’s that good. I don’t really know what I was doing before this product was in my life, it truly is that life changing.

2. Round Lab Birch Juice Moisturizing Sun Cream SPF50
This sunscreen is definitely a new found love, but it was definitely love at first application. Unlike the Beauty of Joseon sunscreen, there really isn’t a lot of hype surrounding this sunscreen. This product was never really on my radar.
The brand as far as I could tell didn’t send out PR to Skinfluencers, which meant that I didn’t hear about this product until I saw a random Tiktok about a woman talking about the most popular sunscreen in Korea. I was immediately intrigued when she said that it WASN’T the Beauty of Joseon sunscreen, just because it was so good.
I had to pick it up and try it for myself. I cannot honestly tell you if the BOJ sunscreen would win over this, I cannot. The application is just heavenly. It feels divine on the skin. Reapplication is beautiful as well. I just haven’t had enough time to test this one out in comparison to the Beauty of Joseon sunscreen, but honestly, my mind could change on which one is the best in a couple months.
This is such an underrated product and I highly, highly recommend it, especially if the BOJ sunscreen did not work for you.

3. Laneige Watery Sun Cream SPF50
The Laneige Watery Sun Cream is a great option for a sunscreen. It feels great to apply, feels just like moisturizer. Something that I don’t really like about sunscreens is that they typically feel like a sunscreen. It’s just not the best feeling.
This sunscreen just feels like a watery moisturizer with really no white cast after it blends all the way in. It’s just a great option to have in your repertoire.
I don’t really see a lot of people talking about this product either. It isn’t really available on a lot of platforms, but if you are already ordering from StyleKorean, which I highly recommend, I would just pick this one up too! That really is the only downfall, it isn’t as easily accessible as the other products on this list, which are available to pick up at Amazon.

4. Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen spf40
Ahh Supergoop’s Unseen Sunscreen. The only non-Asian brand on this list. This sunscreen has a cult following of its own as deservedly so. It’s a solid sunscreen. It melts down to nothing and it just feels beautiful on this skin.
I still remember when I first picked this up at Sephora. Even the Sephora girls were so hyped about this product. I always get so excited when other people are excited about my picks, that I had to get it. It definitely did not disappoint. If I could only wear non-Asian sunscreens this would be on the top of my list forever.

The Best Sunscreens of 2022
So there is my official list of the best sunscreens of 2022. These sunscreens are just the best sunscreens that I’ve tried this whole year and I feel like I’ve tried and tested so many. Should I do one for sunscreens that did not work for me? Keep in mind that sunscreens that worked for me may not work for you, but these are just ones that I cannot live without and that I highly highly recommend over all the ones I’ve tried.
